VoDKA.tv is an IPTV middleware that provides end-users with an interface to find, get information and play contents on demand, watch TV channels, and navigate through entertainment and information. Includes a Video on Demand catalog, Electronic Programming Guide, user information, music catalog, radio channels, interactive applications and so on.
User portal
The basic application where users start navigation is the user portal, that provides access to all of the other applications. Available applications may vary, but usually the following at least are deployed:

User portal: show one's own data: billing, payment history, favourite videos, parental controls, etc.

Electronic Programming Guide The EPG shows the list of TV channels available for a user (with access controls), and allows simple channel navigation, extended program information, and even to schedule a recording if deployed together with VoDKA nPVR.

Miniguide - the basic zapping / TV viewing application. A tiny part of the EPG is available through the miniguide, that offers the most useful information while watching TV but takes up little space. It can be used as an advertising launch platform.

Video on demand catalog. The VoD catalog shows a tree of available media; VoDKA.tv supports category-based navigation, hierarchical categories, searching, labeling, recommendations, extended media information, trailer preview, chapter-based navigation and more. Together with the catalog, the VoD player controls VoD media playback; allows positioning, fast forward / rewind, volume control, bookmarks, chapter /scene navigation, etc.
Billing and payment
A key feature for an IPTV middleware deployment is ease of billing / payment integration. VoDKa.tv supports two main payment modes:

Prepaid. Users get a certain credit (using prepaid cards or any other method) and pay expenses from this credit.

Postpaid. User expenses are accumulated and charged afterwards in their bill, by integrating with an external system. VoDKA.tv provides the necessary interfaces for a seamless, effortless integration.
