VoDKA Asset Manager

VoDKA Asset Manager performs metainformation management for VoDKA assets. The stored metainformation may be

• General - title, author, description, date, etc. The VoDKA Asset Manager information structure is based upon CableLabs ADI 2.0  and extended from there.

• Time related,, like information on scenes, cuts, chapters, or in-media events. For this purpose MPEG-7 is used to index the content.

All the information is supportd and managed in multiple languages.including right-to-left writings such as arabic.

VoDKA Asset Manager features a search engine that can be accessed over a simple API for easy integration with existing applications, web-based frontends, etc.

Every feature can be accessed over an XML/HTTP based API that is completely open and documented.

A comprehensive end-user tool, VoDKA Management Desktop, is provided with the Asset Manager. The Management Desktop is a multiplatform tool capable of controlling multiple Asset Managers, performing ingest, managing assets, searching, etc. It can also manage the Transcoder tool.
